Job summary

Talent Corner Hr Services seeks a full‑time IT and Security Executive for our Pune plant (Chakan). You will be the single point of contact for IT and cybersecurity across plants and offices, working with an external security consultant to implement and run the security systems daily.

You will maintain computers/servers, manage networks, perform backups, monitor security alerts, and ensure vendor access is controlled and documented. Prior experience in manufacturing is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, IT or Electronics.
• BCA, BSc IT, BE, BTech or equivalent.
• 3 to 6 years of experience as a System Administrator or IT Executive.
• Experience in a manufacturing plant is an added advantage.
• Experience with SCADA or plant automation systems is preferred but not compulsory.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all computers and servers to ensure they run properly.
• Install Windows and software updates on schedule.
• Set up new devices and retire old ones; maintain asset lists.
• Troubleshoot printer, email and software issues for staff.
• Manage network (firewall, Wi‑Fi, internet) and keep networks separate as advised.

Role: IT and Security Executive

Location: Pune - Chakan

Experience: 3+ years

About the role

We are looking for a full time IT person for our Manufacturing plant in Chakan. This person will be the single point of contact for all IT and cyber security matters across our plants and offices.

The person will also work along with our external cyber security consultant, who will guide on what security systems to put in place. This role is to run and maintain those systems every day.

Computers and servers

• Keep all computers and servers running properly
• Install Windows updates and software updates on time.
• Keep a list of all computers, laptops, servers and who is using them. Keep this list updated.
• Set up new computers for new staff and take back computers from staffs that leave.
• Solve day-to-day problems faced by staff, such as printer issues, email issues and software issues.

Network

• Look after the firewall, Wi-Fi and internet connections at both plants.
• Make sure the office network and the plant automation network stay separate, as advised by our security consultant.
• Keep a record of any change made in the network.

Security

• Install and monitor the antivirus and security software on all computers.
• Check security alerts every day and report anything unusual to management Immediately
• Take regular backups of important data, including SCADA project files, and test every month that the backup can actually be restored.
• Create user accounts with correct rights. Make sure staffs do not share passwords.
• Remove accounts of staff that have left the company, on the same day they leave. Vendor control (very important)
• Keep a list of all external vendors who need access to our computers or servers.
• No vendor should connect to our systems without written approval and without your knowledge.
• Be present, in person or on screen, whenever a vendor is working on our servers. Note down what they did, when they started and when they finished.
• Give vendors access only for the time they need it. Remove the access once the work is finished.

Reporting

• Send a short monthly report to management covering system health, backups taken, Security alerts and vendor visits.
• Work with our cyber security consultant and complete the tasks given in the security plan.

Education Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, IT or Electronics
• BCA, BSc IT, BE, BTech or equivalent

Experience

• 3 to 6 years of experience as a System Administrator, IT Executive or Network Administrator
• Experience in a manufacturing plant will be an added advantage
• Experience of working with SCADA or plant automation systems is preferred but not Compulsory

Technical knowledge required

• Windows Server and Windows desktop
• Basic knowledge of Linux
• Networking basics: IP addressing, switches, routers, VLAN, VPN
• Firewall handling
• Antivirus and endpoint security software
• Backup and restore
• Basic understanding of cyber security
