Job summary

HypTechie is seeking an IT Desktop Engineer to provide hands-on IT support at our Santacruz office. The role focuses on desktop/Laptop maintenance, software troubleshooting, and user assistance to ensure smooth IT operations.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of desktop support experience, strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and basic networking, plus familiarity with Freshdesk/ServiceNow/JIRA ticketing systems. Office-based role in Mumbai.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or equivalent certifications.
• 3–5 years of desktop support experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (Freshdesk, ServiceNow, JIRA).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Provide timely technical support for IT hardware/software issues.
• Troubleshoot Windows OS, MS Office, and Outlook/Exchange problems.
• Manage user accounts and passwords via Active Directory.
• Handle software installations, patching, and antivirus updates.
• Maintain system security and compliance.
• Coordinate with vendors for repairs and warranties.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
• Support VPN, remote desktop, and basic networking issues.
• Assist onboarding/offboarding with IT setups.

Salary Range: ₹2,00,000 – ₹5,00,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
• Provide timely technical support for IT hardware/software issues.
• Troubleshoot Windows OS, MS Office, Outlook/Exchange, and application issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords via Active Directory.
• Handle software installations, patch management, and antivirus updates.
• Maintain system security and compliance.
• Coordinate with vendors for repairs and warranty claims.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
• Support VPN, remote desktop, and basic networking issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science or relevant certifications (A+, N+, MCSA).
• Strong experience in desktop support and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of Windows OS, hardware, MS Office suite, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (Freshdesk, ServiceNow, JIRA).
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills.

Preferred Skills

• Office 365 administration.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and remote desktop tools.
• Experience with black box systems and AutoCAD software.
