Job summary

SmartQ, a leading food-tech innovator, is seeking a Retail Operations Intern to support day-to-day retail operations and data management. You will help prepare MIS reports, track POs, and coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth execution.

Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, with a Bachelor’s in a related field and strong MS Excel/Sheets skills. You’ll gain hands-on experience in fast-paced retail environments and contribute to process improvements as the team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations, commerce, or related field.
• Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets; basic data analysis a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage, update, and maintain operational data and records.
• Prepare and maintain MIS reports and dashboards.
• Track Purchase Orders (POs) and coordinate with stakeholders and vendors for timely processing and closure.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for day-to-day retail operations.
• Monitor operational activities and follow up on pending tasks to ensure timely execution.
• Support the operations team with documentation, reporting, and other operational requirements.
• Identify operational gaps and assist in implementing solutions and process improvements.

As a Retail Operations Intern at SmartQ, you will support day-to-day retail operations by managing and maintaining data, preparing MIS reports, tracking POs and coordinating follow-ups with internal stakeholders and vendors. You will also assist with the smooth execution of daily retail activities and support the team in resolving operational challenges.

• Prepare and maintain MIS reports and dashboards for regular tracking and review.
• Track Purchase Orders (POs) and coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors for timely processing and closure.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to support day-to-day retail operations.
• Monitor operational activities and follow up on pending tasks to ensure timely execution.
• Support the operations team with documentation, reporting, and other operational requirements.
• Identify operational gaps and assist in implementing solutions and process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Recently completed a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations, Commerce, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets; knowledge of basic data analysis is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage follow-ups effectively.
• Proactive, responsible, and willing to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
