- Relics Wood Industries Pvt. Ltd. specialises in custom millwork, architectural joinery, modular furniture, wall panelling, doors, wardrobes, kitchens and bespoke furniture.
- We are seeking a detail-oriented Interior Draughtsman - Millwork & Joinery to convert design concepts, architectural drawings and site requirements into accurate, practical and productionready drawings.
- The role connects the design, factory production, quality and site installation teams.
Key Responsibilities
Shop Drawings and Joinery Detailing:
- Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD shop and production drawings for millwork, joinery, fixed furniture and loose furniture.
- Develop plans, elevations, sections, enlarged details and construction drawings for items such as wall panelling, doors, wardrobes, kitchens, counters, cabinets, shelving, vanities, TV units, feature walls and custom furniture.
- Clearly indicate dimensions, material thicknesses, joints, hardware, finishes, grain direction, clearances, fixing methods and installation requirements.
- Detail MDF, plywood, blockboard, solid wood, veneer, laminate, glass, metal, aluminium profiles, Corian and other solid surfaces.
- Incorporate carcasses, shutters, shelves, partitions, back panels, plinths, skirting, edge bands and support structures.
Hardware, Materials and Production Information:
- Detail hinges, drawer systems, channels, sliding systems, lift-up mechanisms, handles, locks, shelf supports, connectors, fasteners, brackets and concealed fixing systems.
- Specify materials, thicknesses, finishes, edge bands, profiles, glass and hardware requirements. Prepare or extract panel dimensions, component quantities, material details, finishes and special manufacturing instructions.
- Support cutting lists, component schedules and basic bills of materials where required.
Production and Site Coordination:
- Review drawings with production, quality control and installation teams before manufacturing. Ensure drawings are practical and compatible with CNC routing, CNC drilling, beam saws, panel saws, edge banding, pressing, sanding, polishing and assembly processes.
- Identify manufacturing issues early and incorporate approved feedback.
- Coordinate drawings with site measurements and actual site conditions.
- Work with project managers, site engineers and installation teams to resolve discrepancies and implement approved changes.
Quality and Document Control:
- Check dimensions, alignments, component clearances, hardware requirements, material codes and finish specifications before issuing drawings.
- Maintain drawing numbers, revision registers and organised project files.
- Ensure only the latest approved drawings are released to production.
- Clearly identify revisions and minimise errors caused by incomplete or inaccurate information.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in millwork, joinery, furniture manufacturing or interior fitout.
- Practical understanding of furniture construction, materials, finishes, hardware and factory processes.
- Ability to read architectural, interior design and site drawings.
- Ability to prepare accurate sections, construction details and manufacturing drawings.
- Strong dimensional accuracy, attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to coordinate with factory and site teams.
- Ability to manage revisions, deadlines and drawing releases independently.
Experience with CNC-based furniture manufacturing, cutting lists, component schedules, modular furniture, architectural joinery, solid wood processing, IMOS, Alphacam or similar software will be an advantage.

Preferred Educational Background:
- Diploma, ITI or degree in:
- Interior Design
- Civil Engineering
- Architecture
- Furniture Design
- Mechanical or Production-related technical education
Relevant practical experience in millwork and joinery manufacturing will be given significant importance.
