Job summary

JobItUs is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer for our Vapi location with 3-7 years of experience in the chemical industry. You will specify field instruments, prepare I/O lists, and develop datasheets for valves and instruments, while sizing control valves and creating hookup/loop drawings.

The role involves programming instruments for new processes and ensuring spare parts availability to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Experience with DCS, PLC, SIS and field instruments including transmitters, valves, sensors, RTDs, Thermocouples, and drain valves.
• Ability to read PFDs, I/O lists and P&ID diagrams.
• Strong technical and communication skills; capable of independent work.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• General specification of field instruments.
• Preparation of Instrument index and I/O list.
• Preparation of datasheets for valves and instruments.
• Selection and sizing of control valves.
• Preparation of hookup drawings.
• Preparation of loop drawings.
• Preparation of engineering deliverables like cable tray layouts & instrument location drawings.
• Program automated instruments on new processes in case of unit addition of existing instruments
• Provide adequate supplementary instrument(s) in case of unavailability of spares leading to delays in repairs

Required Skills

• Experience in DCS , PLC, SIS and Field Instruments includes different types transmitters, control valves, switches, analyzers, sensors, RTDs, Thermocouples and drain valves etc
• Should have decent knowledge on reading the engineering documents like PFDs, I/O list/ P&ID, Point database etc.
• Strong technical and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to handle technical tasks independently.
