Job summary

JobItUs in Jhagadia, near Ankleshwar, is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer with 2-6 years' experience in the chemical industry. You will handle field instruments, datasheets, loop and hookup drawings, and instrument location planning.

You should read PFDs, P&ID, and instrument databases; work independently; and ensure timely material availability and process support.

Qualifications

• Experience with DCS, PLC, SIS and field instruments including transmitters, control valves, switches, analyzers, sensors, RTDs, and thermocouples.
• Ability to read PFDs, I/O lists, P&ID, and Point databases.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently on technical tasks.

• Preparation of Instrument index and I/O list.
• Preparation of datasheets for valves and instruments.
• Selection and sizing of control valves.
• Preparation of hookup drawings.
• Preparation of loop drawings.
• Preparation of engineering deliverables like cable tray layouts & instrument location drawings.
• Program automated instruments on new processes in case of unit addition of existinginstruments
• Provide adequate supplementary instrument(s) in case of unavailability of spares leading to delays in repairs

Required Skills

• Experience in DCS , PLC, SIS and Field Instruments includes different types transmitters, control valves, switches, analyzers, sensors, RTDs, Thermocouples and drain valves etc
• Should have decent knowledge on reading the engineering documents like PFDs, I/O list/ P&ID, Point database etc .
• Strong technical and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to handle technical tasks independently.
