PeopleStrong in Chennai seeks a seasoned Real Estate Leasing professional to manage industrial and warehousing lease transactions, negotiate commercial and legal terms, and coordinate with design, liaison, and legal teams based in Mumbai.

This role requires 5–10 years of total real estate experience, strong English, and readiness to travel, with a focus on warehousing, data center, or industrial leasing with developers, funds or IPCs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Business Development: identify and secure enterprise clients for industrial/warehouse spaces.
• Broker & IPC networking with Chennai real estate brokers and IPCs.
• Prepare and present proposals, conduct client site inspections, and respond to RFPs.
• Negotiate commercial, legal and technical terms with cross-functional SPOC support.
• Coordinate with legal, technical/engineering and finance teams to ensure lease documentation and handover schedules.

Key Requirements for the Role

• Real estate lease transaction management experience especially in industrial & warehousing spaces
• Negotiation skills covering Commercial, Legal (documentation) and technical aspects
• Co-ordinating with Design, Technical, Liaison and Legal Teams primarily based in Mumbai
• Business & Market updates to be presented in weekly / bi-weekly review meetings to the senior management in Mumbai

Core Responsibilities

• Business Development: Identify, pursue, and secure large enterprise clients, manufacturing companies across dominant / emerging sectors, e-commerce firms, and 3PL (third-party logistics) operators, for industrial / warehouse spaces.
• Broker & IPC Networking: Leverage existing and build new high-value relationships with International Property Consultants (IPCs), channel partners, and local Chennai real estate brokers.
• Proposal & Presentation Management: Conduct client site inspections and progress to filling & submission of Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, pitch customized built-to-suit or ready-to-move-in warehousing frameworks,.
• Negotiation & Closure: Negotiate commercial legal and technical terms with support of SPOC from each cross function
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with legal, technical/engineering, and finance departments to ensure smooth lease documentation, statutory compliances, and handover schedules.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Check as per policy. However in my view, a 5 to 10 years of total real estate experience, with at least 3 to 5 years focused specifically on warehousing, data center, or industrial leasing with developers, funds or IPCs.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of local land laws, warehousing technical specifications and registration or stamp duty frameworks.
• Soft Skills: Good presentation and oratory skills and fluency in English and local regional requirements. Self-driven personality. Disciplined. High on integrity. Ready to travel .
