Organization set-up and HR policies:
- Work with the Plant Head on the plant organization chart, manpower plan, grades and reporting lines.
- Maintain job descriptions, KRAs and approval authorities for all plant roles.
- Draft and roll out HR policies: attendance, leave, shifts, overtime, conduct, discipline, travel and a code of conduct.
- Prepare the employee handbook and standing orders as applicable.
Recruitment and onboarding:
- Hire staff, supervisors, operators and contract labour to the manpower plan; manage job portals, consultants and referrals.
- Run interviews with department heads, reference and document checks, offer letters and joining formalities.
- Run induction: company and product overview, plant rules, safety, quality basics.
Payroll, attendance and benefits:
- Run monthly payroll, attendance (biometric), leave, overtime and shift records.
- Process full and final settlements, gratuity and bonus.
- Manage employee insurance (group medi claim, accident cover) and other benefits.
Statutory and labour compliance:
- Ensure PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Maharashtra Labour Welfare Fund, Bonus, Gratuity and Minimum Wages compliance and timely filings.
- Keep the factory licence, Factories Act registers and returns, and contract labour (CLRA) registration and records current.
- Track the four Labour Codes and Maharashtra rules; update practices and registers as they apply.
- Verify contractors' PF/ESIC and wage compliance every month.
- Set up and run the POSH Internal Committee; maintain records.
- Coordinate labour department inspections and notices.
Employee relations and performance:
- Handle grievances, discipline, warnings and domestic enquiries fairly and on record.
- Run the annual appraisal and KRA cycle with department heads; maintain personnel files.
- Drive engagement: communication meetings, recognition, festival and welfare activities; track attrition.
Training co-ordination:
- Maintain the plant training calendar with the Plant Head, QA and QC heads.
- Keep training records, attendance and the skill matrix up to date for audits.
- Arrange external training and certifications as approved.
Administration and facilities:
- Manage housekeeping, security, canteen or tea service, transport and office supplies.
- Manage facility vendors and AMCs: building maintenance, pest control, water, lifts, IT support.
- Support EHS on fire safety, first aid, emergency drills and statutory licences and renewals.
- Manage company assets, insurance renewals, visitor control, travel and courier.
- Control the admin budget and vendor bills.
Qualifications and skills:
- Any Graduate. (MBA / PGDM (HR) or MSW / MLS (HR or Labour Welfare), law degree or labour law diploma will be preferred)
- 6-8+ years in HR and administration, preferably in a manufacturing plant or factory.
- Working knowledge of the Factories Act, PF, ESIC, CLRA, wage and bonus laws, the Labour Codes and Maharashtra labour rules.
- Hands‑on with payroll and attendance software and MS Excel.
- Experience handling contract labour, labour inspections and domestic enquiries.
- Firm, fair, and discreet; clear communicator in English, Hindi and Marathi

The plant is new & HR will help setup the organization manpower plan, HR policies, payroll and the compliance framework from day one. This is a hands‑on role with a small team.
CTC: commensurate with experience.
