Rain Square Mall is seeking a kitchen assistant to support senior chefs with daily operations and food preparation. The role involves basic cutting, mise en place, and following standardized recipes while maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.

The candidate should be willing to learn, work in shifts and contribute to minimizing wastage. An interest in Indian, Continental, and Chinese cuisine is preferred, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Perform basic cutting, chopping, peeling, cleaning and mise en place activities.
• Prepare basic ingredients, sauces, gravies and food items as instructed by senior chefs.
• Follow standard recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards.
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards in the kitchen.
• Ensure proper storage, labelling and rotation of food materials according to FIFO principles.
• Handle kitchen equipment safely and maintain cleanliness of workstations.
• Minimize food wastage and follow the kitchen's stock-handling procedures.

Role & responsibilities

Follow instructions from senior chefs and complete assigned duties on time.
