Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Hostel Management or related field.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

About this role

We are looking for a Hostel Manager who will be responsible for ensuring that hostel environment is safe, comfortable, well maintained, and conduicve to student life and learning. The role will involve managing day-to-day hostel operations, ensuring the availability and quality of amenities, coordinating housekeeping and maintenance, addressing student concerns and grievances, managing vendors and service providers, and ensuring that students have a positive residential experience.

Specifically, this role will involve

• Managing the overall day-to-day operations of the hostel and student residences
• Ensuring that students have access to all essential amenities and services.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and overall living condition.
• Ensuring that student grievances are resolved within defined timelines.
• Escalating serious or sensitive issues to the appropriate internal stakeholders
• Ensuring a safe and secure environment for all students residing in the hostel.
• Coordinating with security teams and ensure appropriate security protocols are followed.
• Monitoring hostel access, visitor management, and entry/exit procedures.
• Ensuring appropriate protocols are in place for emergencies and critical incidents.
• Acting as a key point of contact during student emergencies or urgent situations.

Ideal candidate will have

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Hostel Management, student accomodation,hospitality residential operations,facility management or a related field
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong presentation and relationship-building capabilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple stakeholders.
• Willingness to be available outside regular working hours when required for emergencies or high- pressure situations.
• Ability to remain calm and composed during emergencies or high- pressure situations.
