Job summary

Masters Union in Gurugram is seeking an experienced HR Lead to partner with academic leaders, program heads, and teams to drive people strategy, talent development, performance management, and culture building. This role is pivotal in aligning HR initiatives with fast‑growing organizational goals.

You will drive performance cycles, leadership development, and stakeholder engagement while supporting rapid expansion across the program landscape.

Qualifications

• MBA/Masters in Human Resources or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in a strategic HR role.
• Experience in startups, education, or high-growth organizations preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to understand workforce needs and align HR strategies with institutional goals.
• Advise leadership on organizational design, talent planning, and people decisions.
• Support and scale teams while maintaining culture and values.
• Drive performance management cycles, goal setting, and feedback mechanisms.
• Identify high-potential talent and design development, succession, and retention strategies.
• Partner with L&D to design leadership development programs for faculty and corporate teams.
• Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and grievance handling.
• Drive engagement initiatives, pulse surveys, and action plans.
• Ensure HR policies, processes, and practices comply with labor laws and guidelines.
• Support compensation planning, promotions, and role transitions.
• Lead change management during rapid growth.
• Embed values into performance, recognition, and everyday behaviors.
• Support cross-functional collaboration between academic, corporate, and operations teams.

About the role

The HR Lead will work closely with academic leaders, program heads, and functional teams to drive people strategy, talent development, performance management, and culture building. This role is critical in aligning HR initiatives with business goals while supporting rapid growth and organizational transformation.

Specifically, this role will Involve

• Partnering with business leaders to understand work force needs and align HR strategies with institutional goals
• Acting as a trusted advisor to leadership and organizational design, talent planning ,and people decisions
• Supporting and scaling teams while maintaining culture and values
• Driving performance management cycles, goal setting, and feedback mechanisms
• Identifying high-potential talent and design development, succession, and retention strategies
• Partnering with L&D to design leadership development programs for faculty and corporate teams
• Managing employee relations, conflict resolution, and grievance handling
• Driving engagement initiatives, pulse surveys, and action plans
• Ensuring HR policies, processes, and practices are compliant with labor laws and institutional guidelines
• Supporting compensation planning, promotions, and role transitions
• Leading change management initiatives during periods of rapid growth
• Embedding values into performance, recognition, and everyday behaviors
• Supporting cross-functional collaboration between academic, corporate, and operations teams

Ideal candidate will have

• MBA/Masters in Human Resources or equivalent
