Job summary

Tata Elxsi in Bengaluru is seeking a HiL Validation Engineer to drive ECU function validation in Body electronics, Power Train or ADAS domains. You will contribute to test specification development and automate test execution in HiL environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with CAPL or Python scripting, VT/dSpace/ETAS HiL setups, and knowledge of CAN/CANoe/CANalyzer. You will work with the HW-in-the-Loop team to improve overall competency and deliver high-coverage testing.

Qualifications

• Experience in Software Validation activities including Test specification development and Implementation of Test Automation Framework by using Automation tools.
• Good understanding of SW Validation cycle ‘V-model’.
• Must have played a key role in the complete lifecycle of at least 2 to 3 HiL testing projects.

Responsibilities

• Validation of ECU functions in Body electronics / Power Train / ADAS.
• Requirement analysis, effort estimation and work breakdown.
• Writing Test Specifications and test automation in HiL environments.
• CANoe, CANalyzer, vTESTstudio or AKKODis tool chains like PROVEtech; execution of test automation framework and reporting defects to ensure 100% software test coverage.
• Activities of the HW-in-the-Loop team to improve overall competency.

Requirement:

HIL - ECU functions preferably in Body electronics domain / Power Train / ADAS Automation, Python, CAPL

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the Validation of ECU functions preferably in Body electronics domain / Power Train / ADAS
• Responsible for Requirement Analysis, effort estimations and work breakdown.
• Responsible for writing Test Specifications, Test automation in HiL environment preferably Vector tool
• chain like CANoe, CANalyzer, vTESTstudio or AKKODis tool chains like PROVEtech, execution of Test automation framework and reporting test defects to ensure that 100% Software test coverage.
• Responsible for all the activities of the Hardware-in-the-Loop team with an aim to improve the overall Competency within the team.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science/electrical & Electronics/ Masters in Computer Applications

• Must be aware of Communication protocols like CAN, LIN, ETHERNET.
• Must have knowledge on Diagnostic protocols like UDS(i14229)
• Exposure to configuration management tool
