Job summary

Tata Elxsi, Inc. is seeking a senior validation lead for Body Electronics systems and ECUs in Pune, India. You will define validation strategies, oversee end-to-end testing across components and vehicle-level integration, and ensure traceability from requirements to test outcomes.

The role requires leadership in defect management, KPI tracking, and collaboration with OEMs, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with Automotive SPICE, safety, and cybersecurity processes.

Qualifications

• Body Electronics and BCM validation experience.
• Validation of lighting, power windows, central locking, wipers, HVAC controls, seats and mirrors.
• Experience with CAN, LIN and Automotive Ethernet protocols.
• Diagnostics (UDS) and vehicle communication, system integration and vehicle testing.
• Knowledge of Automotive SPICE, V-Model development lifecycle and Functional Safety (ISO 26262) awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end validation activities for Body Electronics systems and ECUs.
• Define validation strategy, test plans, schedules, milestones and deliverables.
• Manage component, integration, system, HIL, and vehicle-level testing activities.
• Lead validation of BCM, Lighting, Power Windows, Central Locking, Wipers, HVAC controls, Seats, Mirrors and other body functions.
• Review customer requirements and develop validation test specifications and test cases.
• Ensure complete requirements-to-test traceability and coverage.
• Manage defect triage, issue investigation and resolution tracking.
• Track validation KPIs, test execution progress, quality metrics, and defect status.
• Coordinate with OEMs, suppliers, hardware, software, and system engineering teams.
• Support vehicle integration testing and production readiness activities.
• Ensure compliance with Automotive SPICE, Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, and OEM processes.
• Review and approve test reports, validation summaries, and release recommendations.
• Manage project risks, issues, resource planning and escalation activities.
• Drive test automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Mentor validation engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Support customer reviews, audits, and quality assessments.
