Job summary

Tata Elxsi, Inc. Bengaluru seeks an ECU HIL validation engineer with 4+ years of hands-on HiL experience.

You will work with HiL systems, MATLAB/Simulink, and the dSPACE toolchain, and apply strong test automation and scripting skills (Python, CAPL, C/C++). Responsibilities include analyzing requirements, developing test specifications and scripts, executing tests on dSPACE/Vector platforms, and ensuring sufficient test coverage within project schedules.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of ECU HIL validation experience.
• Hands-on with HiL systems, MATLAB/Simulink and dSPACE toolchain.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting (Python, VB, C, Jenkins).
• Experience with requirements and test management tools like Jira, Confluence, DNG, XRAY, Starc or similar.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and develop test specifications.
• Develop test scripts and test framework for HiL validation.
• Test case execution on dSPACE / Vector HIL platforms.
• Assurance of sufficient test coverage within a given time schedule.

1. HiL & Simulation Tools
Hands-on experience with HiL systems and environments
MATLAB / Simulink, dSPACE toolchain (ControlDesk, ConfigurationDesk, AutomationDesk or equivalent)
2. Test Automation & Methodologies
Strong understanding of system, integration, regression, and robustness testing
Experience in test automation frameworks and scripting (Python, VB, C, Jenkins etc. )
Experience with test automation tools such as ECU-TEST/Provetech and other tools like INCA, CANape etc.
Experience with requirements and test management tools like Jira, Confluence, DNG, XRAY, Starc or similar
3. Test Infrastructure
Experience with HiL setup, configuration, and maintenance

Automotive communication Protocols CAN, LIN, Flexray, Ethernet etc

4+ years of experience in ECU HIL validation - Graduate/Post Graduate in Electronics/Electrical/Mechatronics/Instrumentation engineering - Should have good command on any of the body electronics functions. E.g. Wiper system, sunroof, door control, keyless go, locking system, exterior light, interior lights, seat control system, Air bag etc. (Any of these system) - Should be able to imagine different testing scenarios and write test cases by understanding the system requirements - Should be able to Analyze Requirement, Develop - Test Spec, Test Script (PTTA preferably / CAPL / Python / Perl / C / C++), Execution & Defect identification & Logging - Good experience in UDS based Diagnostic testing, DoIP - Should have worked on Vector Test benches. - Should have basic knowledge on setting up HIL environment, loads, hardware connections and flashing ECU. - Should know basic concepts of Object oriented programming - Knowledge and experience with Provetech scripting language will be best fit
