Job summary

Tata Elxsi is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to validate ECU functions and lead HIL testing in automotive projects. The role involves writing specifications, developing automated test systems, and executing tests with strong focus on Vector/ dSPACE toolchains.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in CAN/LIN and Ethernet protocols, CAPL and Python scripting, and knowledge of ASPICE and quality processes. Expect a challenging on-site role in India.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing test automation.
• Strong knowledge in Vector VT System, CAPL & Python scripting OR dSPACE AutomationDesk.
• Experience in Hardware-in-Loop (HIL) testing.
• Strong knowledge in automotive protocols CAN/LIN, Ethernet, UDS.
• Expertise in test automation and test execution.
• Test cases authoring and reviewing project artifacts.
• Awareness of ASPICE and Quality management processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the Validation of ECU functions in Automotive domain
• Responsible for writing Test Specifications and Test automation.
• Design and development of HIL/Automated test system
• Test automation in HiL environment preferably Vector tool chain like CANoe, vTESTstudio or dSPACE toolchain
• Execution of Test automation and reporting test defects
• Responsible for all the activities of the Hardware-in-the-Loop team with an aim to improve the overall Competency within the team.

Required Skillset

• Experience in
  • Technically involved in development the project in Test Automation
  • Strong knowledge in Vector VT System, CAPL & python scripting OR dSPACE L and AutomationDesk
  • Experience in Hardware in Loop (HIL) testing
  • Strong knowledge in BCM/Gateway/ADAS testing at Bench and vehicle level
  • Expertise in Test automation
  • Test cases authoring, Test automation and test execution at System and Software qualification level
  • Reviewing of project artifacts
  • ASPICE and Quality management process, for testing
• Know-how of
  • Automotive protocols CAN/LIN/Ethernet/UDS/OBD/NM.
  • Hands who experience in HILS like dSPACE, and Vector VT etc
  • Very good communication and mentoring skills
  • Functional safety & Cyber Security knowledge
