Job summary

TATA ELXSI in Bangalore is seeking HILS Validation Engineers, Senior Engineers and Leads with 3–7 years in HIL validation. You will work on HiL validation across HVAC, Body Electronics, or Powertrain and contribute to multiple HiL testing projects.

The role requires hands-on testing, scripting in CAPL or Python, familiarity with dSPACE setups, CAN/LIN/Ethernet protocols, UDS diagnostics, and experience with CANape/CANoe/vTESTstudio/PROVEtech TA.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in HIL Validation in HVAC, Body Electronics, or Powertrain.
• Led complete lifecycle of at least 2–3 HiL testing projects.
• Exposure to CAPL or Python scripting.
• Exposure to VT/dSpace setups.
• Awareness of CAN, LIN, Ethernet.
• Knowledge of UDS (i14229) diagnostics.
• Experience with SVN or DOORS for config management.
• Experience with CANape, CANoe, vTESTstudio, and PROVEtech TA tools.
• Good communication and teamwork in a multicultural automotive environment.
• Experience in SW validation, test spec, and automation framework.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on HIL validation across domains.
• Lead HiL testing projects through full lifecycle.
• Develop test scripts in CAPL or Python.
• Configure and validate VT/dSpace setups.
• Work with CAN/LIN/Ethernet protocols.
• Apply UDS diagnostics during validation.
• Utilize SVN/DOORS for config management.
• Leverage CANape, CANoe, vTESTstudio, and PROVEtech TA tools.
• Collaborate in a multicultural automotive team.
• Contribute to test automation framework and V-model SW validation.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Hands on experience in HIL Validation in any of the domains like HVAC or Body Electronics or Powertrain.
• Must have played a key role in the complete lifecycle of at least 2 to 3 HiL testing projects.
• Must have a good exposure to scripting languages like CAPL or Python.
• Must have a good exposure on VT/dSpace setups.
• Must be aware of Communication protocols like CAN, LIN, ETHERNET.
• Must have knowledge on Diagnostic protocols like UDS(i14229)
• Exposure to configuration management tools like SVN, DOORS is preferred.
• Exposure on testing tools like CANape, CANoe vTESTstudio and PROVEtech:TA.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in & contribute as a good team player
• Experience in the automotive field and exposure of multi-cultural environment is an added advantage.
• Experience in Software Validation activities including Test specification development and Implementation of Test Automation Framework by using Automation tools.
• Good understanding of SW Validation cycle V-model.
