Job Description: Head – Finance & Accounts
The Head – Finance and Accounts will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, managing financial risks, planning, record-keeping, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role is critical in shaping and executing the financial strategy to achieve the company’s objectives and drive sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve business objectives, and provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making at the senior management level.
- Accounting and Reporting: Oversee the preparation and timely submission of accurate financial statements and management reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
- Audit and Compliance: Coordinate statutory, internal, and external audits, address and resolve audit findings, and implement recommendations effectively.
- Taxation Management: Ensure timely filing of tax returns and compliance with tax laws, handle assessments, appeals, and disputes related to taxation.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop annual budgets in collaboration with department heads, monitor financial performance against budgets, and implement cost control measures.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounts team to enhance productivity and efficiency, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Timely and accurate preparation of financial reports.
- Achievement of budget targets and financial forecasts.
- Compliance with statutory regulations and audit standards.
- Effective management of working capital and cash flows.
- Success in cost reduction and operational efficiency initiatives.
Education:
Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA), with an MBA in Finance or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
Experience:
15+ years of experience in finance and accounts, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, and a proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and compliance.
Skills and Competencies:

- Expertise in financial systems, ERP tools, and MS Office applications.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of financial regulations, taxation, and compliance standards.
