Head – Accounts – Manufacturing / FMCG – CA – 18+ Years – Mumbai

We are hiring a Head of Accounts with a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification and 18+ years of experience in the manufacturing or FMCG industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales accounting, cost accounting, warehousing, manufacturing and commercial accounting budgeting, and internal controls, with proven leadership experience in managing finance teams and driving financial strategy. Responsibilities:

• Financial Planning & Reporting: Set up systems for MIS, budgeting, and financial monitoring; ensure timely finalization of accounts and regular compliance reports.
• Process & Cost Optimization: Implement process improvements and pricing strategies; work with internal auditors to reduce costs and enhance operational efficiency.
• Tax Compliance & Advisory: Stay updated on tax law changes; prepare income tax returns, ensure statutory compliance, and provide strategic tax advice on corporate transactions.
• Audit & Government Liaison: Coordinate with auditors to resolve issues; engage with government authorities to secure tax benefits, incentives, and exemptions.
• Legal & Tax Representation: Represent the company in tax matters before authorities; manage legal and tax-related disputes and proceedings.
• Budget Analysis & Execution: Review budget proposals, implement necessary changes, and support management in financial decision-making.
• Corporate Governance: Organize timely Board Meetings and AGMs; ensure implementation of decisions made by directors and shareholders.
• Tax Negotiation & Consultation: Advise on tax planning, mergers, and acquisitions; negotiate with consultants and legal experts on tax and legal matters.

Requirements:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Minimum 18+ years of experience preferably in heading accounting of large manufacturing / FMCG setups.
• Proficiency using SAP (Preferably SAP HANA)
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across departments and guide teams effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of taxation, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting standards.
