Job summary

MH CLUB & RESORTS in Kolkata area is seeking a Guest Service Associate for restaurant and resort service. You will welcome guests, take orders, relay them to kitchen and bar, and ensure service aligns with resort standards.

You will explain the menu, suggest dishes, and assist with dietary needs. Roles include handling payments, maintaining hygiene, and supporting banquets as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or hospitality background preferred.
• Good communication in Hindi and English.
• Friendly, confident and well-groomed with a service-oriented attitude.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office; PMS knowledge a plus).
• Ability to work in rotational shifts, including weekends/holidays.
• Willingness to relocate to Ranchi and join at short notice if applying from outside.

Responsibilities

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Welcome guests at the restaurant, seat them, and present the menu
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and pass them to the kitchen and bar
• Serve food and drinks in the correct sequence and to the resort's service standards
• Explain the menu, recommend dishes, and answer questions on ingredients and dietary needs
• Set up and reset tables, and prepare the service station before and after each shift
• Check on guests during the meal and respond to requests promptlyHandle guest complaints calmly, fix the issue where possible, and elevate to the supervisor when needed
• Prepare bills, process payments (cash, card, UPI), and coordinate with the cashier
• Follow food hygiene, grooming, and safety standards at all times
• Support banquet, event, and in-room dining service when required

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, or a hospitality background (preferred)
• Good communication in Hindi and English
• Friendly, confident, and well-groomed, with a service-oriented attitude
• Basic computer skills (MS Office; knowledge of a PMS or front office software is a plus)
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and work in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays
