Job summary

ibis Mysuru is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Attendant to maintain cleanliness and guest comfort in our busy hotel. You will clean rooms to standards, restock supplies, and ensure safety and privacy for guests.

You must be flexible to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays, with good English and teamwork. Training will cover safety protocols and property management systems used to track tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare all assigned guest rooms to established standards, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized touches to enhance their experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of hallways, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Restock guest room amenities, linens, and supplies promptly and efficiently.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damage to the appropriate department.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, and health protocols while performing duties.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and special requirements.
• Assist with laundry duties as assigned, maintaining quality standards.
• Protect guest privacy and handle personal belongings with discretion and respect.
• Utilize property management systems and other tools to track tasks and communicate with team.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic, guest-focused environment.

• Physical stamina and capability to perform tasks such as bending, lifting, pushing, and standing for extended periods
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings as needed
• Proficiency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills; additional language skills are a plus
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a cohesive team
• Comprehensive knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety procedures
• Positive attitude, reliability, and punctuality with a demonstrated work ethic

• Basic computer skills for using property management systems and other digital tools
