Job summary

Milacron is seeking a motivated Graduate Engineer Trainee in Ahmedabad to join the Design Engineering team. The program provides structured training across manufacturing, assembly, quality and service, followed by a transition into a Mechanical Design Engineer role.

During training you will gain hands-on experience with injection molding machines, learn CAD design tools, and participate in FE analysis and BOM maintenance.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Production Engineering.
• Fresh graduates or final-year students eligible.
• CAD software proficiency required (Cre o/AutoCAD/SolidWorks/NX).

Responsibilities

• Assist design engineers in creating CAD models and drawings.
• Support engineering calculations and FEA for components.
• Contribute to BOMs and engineering documentation during training.
• Collaborate with production and sourcing to improve manufacturability.

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) to join our Design Engineering team. The role includes a structured training period across manufacturing, assembly, quality, and service functions to build a strong understanding of Injection Molding Machines (IMM), followed by a transition into a Mechanical Design Engineer role.

Training Exposure

• Machine assembly and manufacturing operations
• Hydraulic, electrical, and control systems
• Quality inspection and machine testing
• Service, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities

Key Responsibilities After Training (Design Engineering)

• Design and develop components and sub-assemblies for Injection Molding Machines.
• Create 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and assembly layouts.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and FEA for critical components.
• Generate and maintain Engineering BOMs and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with production, sourcing, and assembly teams to improve manufacturability and product performance.
• Support root cause analysis, design improvements, and engineering change implementation.

Candidate Profile

Education

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Production Engineering (recent graduates or final-year students).

Technical Skills

• Exposer to Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX, or similar CAD software.
• Basic knowledge of FEA and engineering analysis tools.
• Strong fundamentals in machine design, strength of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
