Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Finance & Accounts head for our Lucknow property. You will oversee all F&A operations, drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, and ensure robust controls and regulatory compliance. Experience in hotel finance is essential.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to partner with departmental heads to improve profitability while maintaining strict controls.

Qualifications

• CA / CMA / MBA Finance / M. Com or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in finance and accounts, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of hotel financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, financial reporting, and hotel accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete Finance & Accounts operations of the hotel.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and periodic financial performance reports.
• Monitor hotel revenue, operating expenses, profitability, and departmental costs.
• Ensure accurate monthly financial closing and timely submission of MIS reports.
• Implement effective internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
• Monitor Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and cash flow.
• Control payroll expenses, manpower costs, food costs, and other operating expenses.
• Coordinate with department heads to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, statutory audits, and other applicable financial regulations.
• Manage internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Support the General Manager and Area Finance team in financial planning and decision-making.
