Job summary

Datoms is seeking a Service Engineer to handle daily service maintenance and repair for customer equipment. You will build and maintain customer relationships and carry out required administrative duties.

The role involves installation, troubleshooting, PM, parts management, and timely communication with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up. Field work requires keeping tools calibrated and ready for use.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Electrical/Electronic or related field.
• Experience in IoT.
• 1-3 years in service engineer or related field.
• Must be located in Bengaluru region.
• Bike and driving license required.
• Proficient computer skills incl. MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair on designated equipment.
• Completing Preventive Maintenance and field modifications.
• Ordering and managing repair parts cycle times.
• Maintaining customer service logs and internal service records.
• Maintaining daily communications with customers for resolution and follow-up.
• Keeping tools and test equipment calibrated and up to date.

Job Description

The Service Engineer will be responsible for meeting the daily service maintenance and repair needs of the customer’s equipment. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers as well as performing necessary administrative duties as required and other duties as assigned.

The Service Engineer performs the major functions listed below. The position may require additional duties/responsibilities that may not be outlined below, and specific functions are subject to change:

• Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair on designated equipment.
• Completing Preventative Maintenance and field modifications.
• Ordering and managing repair parts cycle times.
• Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
• Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
• Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated.

Qualifications & Requirements

• B.Tech in Electrical, Electronic or any related field.
• Candidate must have experience in IoT.
• 1-3 years experience in Service engineer or related field.
• Must be located in the Bengaluru region.
• Possession of a private bike is needed.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record are required.
• Proven reliability and accountability for their job responsibilities.
• Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills to relay complex technical issues comprehensibly.
