Job summary

DTC Projects in Kolkata is seeking a hands-on facilities manager to oversee Fire Hydrant systems, Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) operations, ensure preventive maintenance of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems, and maintain stringent safety and compliance standards.

You will manage vendors and AMCs, supervise maintenance staff, handle emergency response, support budgeting and reporting, and ensure documentation and logs meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in facility management, engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with fire safety norms and regulatory requirements.
• Hands-on experience with WTP/STP and related maintenance.

Role & responsibilities:

• Hands-on operational experience with Fire Hydrant systems (testing, maintenance, compliance)
• Hands-on operational experience with WTP (Water Treatment Plant) operation, upkeep, water quality monitoring
• Hands-on operational experience with STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) operation, upkeep, effluent compliance
• Preventive maintenance planning for electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Vendor and AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) management
• Statutory and regulatory compliance knowledge (fire safety norms, pollution control board requirements for WTP/STP)
• Team supervision housekeeping, security, and technical/maintenance staff
• Emergency response handling (fire, water supply disruption, equipment failure)
• Budgeting and cost control for facility operations
• Documentation and reporting (maintenance logs, compliance certificates, inspection records)
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel/Word for reporting and tracking)

Preferred candidate profile:

• Diploma/Degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or related field
• Certification in Fire Safety/Facility Management
• Familiarity with local regulatory/compliance requirements for WTP/STP and fire safety
