Job summary

Capgemini India seeks an Export Operations Coordinator to ensure efficient cross-border deliveries by managing end-to-end export order fulfillment. You will coordinate with Markets, DRP, Logistics, Finance, and external partners to ensure shipment execution, compliance, and customer service.

• Experience managing export documentation and customs compliance.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of international shipping, freight operations, and trade compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned markets and customers.
• Manage customer orders from receipt through delivery fulfillment.
• Ensure accurate order entry, confirmation, tracking, and communication in SAP.
• Coordinate with DRP, Supply Planning, and customer teams to align demand and supply requirements.
• Plan and coordinate export shipments with internal stakeholders and logistics providers.
• Monitor shipment schedules to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
• Prepare, validate, and manage export documentation required for international shipments.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade policies, tax requirements, and international trade laws.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues such as shipment delays, stock shortages, returns, damages, and delivery deviations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and audit-ready records.

Role Purpose

The Export Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring efficient and timely cross-border deliveries by managing end-to-end export order fulfillment processes. The role requires close coordination with Markets, Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP), Logistics, Finance, and external logistics partners to ensure seamless shipment execution, regulatory compliance, and superior customer service.

The incumbent will oversee SAP order management activities, export documentation, shipment execution, master data maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with global trade regulations and company governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Order Management & Customer Coordination

• Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned markets and customers.


• Manage customer orders from receipt through delivery fulfillment.


• Ensure accurate order entry, confirmation, tracking, and communication in SAP.


• Coordinate with DRP, Supply Planning, and customer teams to align demand and supply requirements.


• Proactively identify and resolve order fulfillment issues impacting customer service levels.

Shipment & Logistics Execution

• Plan and coordinate export shipments with internal stakeholders and logistics providers.


• Monitor shipment schedules to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.


• Manage delivery processing, PGI, invoicing, and related SAP transactions.


• Collaborate with freight forwarders, carriers, warehouses, and transportation providers.


• Support logistics optimization and cost-efficiency initiatives.

Export Documentation & Trade Compliance

• Prepare, validate, and manage export documentation required for international shipments.


• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade policies, tax requirements, and international trade laws.


• Coordinate customs clearance activities and support inspections where required.


• Maintain accurate documentation and audit-ready records.

Risk & Exception Management

• Participate in weekly operational risk reviews and monthly performance reviews.


• Investigate and resolve operational issues such as shipment delays, stock shortages, returns, damages, and delivery deviations.


• Drive corrective and preventive actions to minimize business disruptions.

Master Data Management

• Maintain and update customer, product, pricing, and logistics-related master data.


• Support new customer onboarding and process changes within SAP.


• Ensure master data accuracy and governance compliance.

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

• Monitor and report key operational KPIs.


• Analyze trends and identify opportunities for process improvements.


• Drive initiatives to improve customer service, logistics performance, and operational efficiency.


• Support continuous improvement and operational excellence programs.
