Job summary

Apollo Tyres Ltd invites applications for the Executive-Utility role based at Kalamassery. The incumbent will oversee utility shift operations, ensure preventive maintenance, and drive energy conservation projects in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires coordinating with production, maintaining logs, capturing data in SAP, and guiding staff through maintenance and improvements while upholding ISO50001, IATF, ISO14001 & OHSAS standards.

Responsibilities

• Utility shift crew arrangement and supervision.
• Preventive maintenance tracking across shifts.
• Aim for zero breakdowns of utilities and equipment.
• Monitor and correct abnormalities in utility lines daily.
• Track consumption of chemicals, furnace oil, coal, water & steam by shift.
• Maintain shift logbooks and update daily files.
• Record data in SAP system.
• Manage spares and spares usage.
• Perform breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Handle grievances of subordinates.
• Maintain housekeeping of machines and work area.
• Implement energy conservation projects.
• Coordinate with production department.
• Plan and execute improvement plans.
• Maintain discipline on shop floor.
• Provide training to workmen.
• Analyze and correct utility parameter variations.
• Analyze and correct efficiency parameter variations.
• Update records of maintenance activities in Utility.
• Lead improvement and modernization projects with contractors and production team.
• Coordinate documentation and implementation of ISO50001, IATF, ISO14001 & OHSAS standards.

Responsibilities

• 1. Utility Shift Crew Arrangement.
• 2. Follow-up & tracking ofPreventive Maintenance Jobs in shifts and coming shifts.
• 3. Ensure zero breakdowns of allutilities and auxiliary equipment’s.
• 4. Daily monitoring & correction ofabnormalities in all utilities including main headers lines.
• 5. Shift wise tracking of consumptionof Chemicals, furnace oil, coal, water & steam.
• 6. Maintain shift logbook & update of dailyfiles.
• 7. Capture data into SAP.
• 8. Spares management.
• 9. Carry out Break-down maintenance aswell as trouble shooting.
• 10. Handle grievance of subordinates.
• 11. Ensure high order of Housekeepingof machines.
• 12. Implement energy conservationprojects.
• 13. Co-ordinate with productiondepartment.
• 14. Plan and execute Improvement plans.
