Job summary

Alpauls is seeking an urgent Utility Manager for Kerur, India. You will oversee all plant utility systems, ensure uninterrupted utility supply, and drive maintenance programs to minimize downtime. Lead a skilled maintenance team and collaborate with production and quality to meet operating targets.

The role requires up to 4 years of experience in cement/chemical environments, with a focus on safety compliance and energy efficiency. Immediate joining and onsite work are expected.

Qualifications

• Oversee daily utility operations and performance of plant utility systems.
• Ensure 100% uptime of utilities to support core manufacturing and production processes.
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Guarantee compliance with local and national safety, environmental policies and audits.
• Lead and mentor the utility maintenance team and coordinate with production and quality.

Responsibilities

• Utility Systems Management: Oversee the daily operations, performance, and efficiency of all plant utility systems, including compressed air, HVAC, water treatment plants, chillers, boilers, and power distribution.
• Uninterrupted Supply & Operations: Ensure 100% uptime and a continuous, stable supply of utilities to support core manufacturing and plant production processes without disruption.
• Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance: Develop, schedule, and execute robust preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend machinery lifespan.
• Safety, Statutory, & Environmental Compliance: Guarantee absolute adherence to all local and national regulatory standards, environmental policies, and safety protocols, managing necessary documentation and audits.
• Resource Monitoring & Sustainability: Actively monitor daily utility consumption, analyze variances, and design and execute strategic energy-saving initiatives to reduce operational costs and carbon footprint.
• Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead, mentor, and manage the utility maintenance team. Foster seamless collaboration with the production and quality departments to align on operational priorities and resolve technical issues swiftly.
