Job summary

Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited is seeking a skilled Utility Operations & Maintenance professional to oversee plant utility systems, ensure reliable operation of equipment, and lead shift supervision.

You will coordinate with vendors, manage spare parts, maintain GMP-compliant records, and use SAP for maintenance planning and closure of work orders. This role focuses on safety, regulatory compliance, and timely maintenance to prevent downtime in a high-demand manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of utility systems and plant equipment.
• Monitor performance and reliability of utilities to support uninterrupted plant operations.
• Troubleshoot utility and equipment-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Execute preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with vendors, contractors, and user departments.
• Follow up on maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
• Support annual maintenance contracts (AMC) and service activities.
• Monitor critical spares inventory for utility equipment.
• Coordinate procurement and availability of spares to avoid operational downtime.
• Maintain spare consumption records and inventory status.
• Maintain maintenance records, logs, and reports as per GMP requirements.
• Work with SAP for maintenance planning, execution, and closure of work orders.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS), safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise utility operations during shift hours.
• Manage manpower deployment and monitor shift activities.
• Ensure adherence to operational procedures, safety standards, and maintenance practices
