Job summary

Agratas – A Tata Enterprise seeks a seasoned Maintenance Engineer to manage O&M for boilers, nitrogen systems, and plant utilities. You will lead the maintenance team, ensure high availability, and drive TPM initiatives in a chemistry/industrial setting.

Required BE/BTech in Mechanical with 10–12 years in relevant manufacturing sectors, familiarity with MES/SAP/SCADA, and strong safety discipline. BOE preferred; on-site role based in India.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Mechanical engineering required.
• BOE certification desirable.
• 10–12 years of experience in Lithium-ion cell manufacturing or related industries (Food/ Beverage & pharma, Packing, Tyre, Auto and heavy engineering).

Responsibilities

• Oversee O&M and troubleshooting of Boiler (Solid fire and Gas fire 20 TPH) and Nitrogen plant.
• Develop and execute maintenance operations system; lead team to meet KPI targets.
• Lead and motivate team to ensure 100% boiler and nitrogen operation per plant needs.
• Provide in-depth knowledge of boilers, ESP, nitrogen plant, economizer, piping, steam traps, and gas trains.
• Train team in operation, maintenance, safety, and during installation/commissioning phases.
• Ensure utilities and facilities meet availability targets and safety standards.
• Perform Preventive (PM) and Predictive (PDM) maintenance; implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements for boilers, nitrogen plant, and utilities.

Job description

Purpose of the Role

Responsible for the O&M of Boiler, Nitrogen, Piping Maintenance, facility and other plant utility maintenance

Key Responsibility Areas

Technical /Functional

• Ensure Operation & Maintenance and troubleshooting & repair of Boiler (Solid fire and Gas fire Minimum 20 TPH), Nitrogen Plant.
• Develop and execute maintenance operation system and lead the team for the robust implementation to deliver target KPI.
• Lead and motivate the team and ensure 100 % Boiler and nitrogen operation as per plant requirement.
• In-depth Knowledge in mechanical boilers, ESP, Nitrogen plant, Economizer, Pressure reducing station, Chilled water piping, steam piping, maintenance, steam traps, gas train.
• Engage the team in technical training for operation and maintenance and support to project during installation and commissioning phase.
• Responsible for overall utilities, facilities to reduce time and 100 % availability.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PDM), analysis and Corrective actions.
• Ensure all the legal and statutory requirement fulfil for Boilers, Nitrogen plant and other utilities piping and its distribution.

TPM

• Understanding of TPM Concepts. (5S, Kaizen, AM, PM etc.)

• Hands on experience in MES/SAP/SCADA systems.

Job Context

• Maintain spare as per requirement and follow safety practices (LOTO, TBT, HIRA& EIA, Work permit) during maintenance work.
• Daily and monthly MIS data collection and report preparation as per requirement.
• Implementing Continuous Improvement ideas and cost saving projects.
• In-House Repair of Mechanical spares.
• ShiftWise allocation of work and ensure timely completion during shifts and proper handover to next shift.
• Develop and maintain utility related documents as per standard requirement and controlling and providing accurate data reporting.
• Work closely with service provider, purchaser, process, and project team.
