Job summary

Alpauls in Kerur, Karnataka, is seeking an urgent Utility Manager to lead daily operations of plant utility systems, including HVAC, water treatment, boilers, and power distribution.

You will drive preventive and corrective maintenance, ensure 100% uptime, ensure regulatory compliance, monitor energy use, and mentor the utility team while coordinating with production and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Experience: Up to 4 years in utility management or plant maintenance.
• Strong understanding of plant utility systems and energy efficiency.
• Ability to lead a maintenance team and coordinate with production.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of plant utility systems (compressors, HVAC, water treatment, boilers, chillers, power distribution).
• Ensure 100% uptime and uninterrupted utilities to support manufacturing and production processes.
• Develop, schedule, and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Ensure compliance with local and national safety, environmental, and regulatory standards and complete audits as needed.
• Monitor utility consumption, analyze variances, and implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce costs and carbon footprint.
• Lead and mentor the utility maintenance team and coordinate with production and quality departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Utility Systems Management: Oversee the daily operations, performance, and efficiency of all plant utility systems, including compressed air, HVAC, water treatment plants, chillers, boilers, and power distribution.
• Uninterrupted Supply & Operations: Ensure 100% uptime and a continuous, stable supply of utilities to support core manufacturing and plant production processes without disruption.
• Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance: Develop, schedule, and execute robust preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend machinery lifespan.
• Safety, Statutory, & Environmental Compliance: Guarantee absolute adherence to all local and national regulatory standards, environmental policies, and safety protocols, managing necessary documentation and audits.
• Resource Monitoring & Sustainability: Actively monitor daily utility consumption, analyze variances, and design and execute strategic energy-saving initiatives to reduce operational costs and carbon footprint.
• Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead, mentor, and manage the utility maintenance team. Foster seamless collaboration with the production and quality departments to align on operational priorities and resolve technical issues swiftly.
