Job summary

CIEL HR is recruiting for an Executive - Stores for a leading chemical company's greenfield plant in Dahej. Initially, the role focuses on Project Stores and later shifts to Operational Stores for Raw Material, Packaging and Engineering Stores.

Responsibilities include establishing project warehouse, receiving materials, ensuring SAP postings, and maintaining inventory control, labeling, FIFO/FEFO and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in project and manufacturing-plant stores.
• Knowledge of SAP MM or ERP systems.
• Understanding of inventory control and chemical storage.
• Good documentation, MIS and Excel skills.
• Strong coordination, accuracy and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support establishment of the project warehouse, storage areas and stores.
• Receive and verify project materials against Purchase Orders and delivery documents.
• Coordinate inspection and acceptance with Project, Engineering and Quality teams.
• Complete timely Goods Receipt and SAP transactions.
• Maintain tagging, location coding, traceability and preservation of project materials.
• Record shortages, damages, excess supplies and mismatches; reconcile.
• Issue materials to contractors against approved documents and reconcile.
• Track returnable, surplus, rejected and free-issue materials.
• Support material reconciliation, capitalization and handover to operational stores.
• Manage receipt, storage, preservation and issuance of raw materials, packing materials, engineering spares and consumables.
• Maintain optimum inventory and ensure material availability for production.
• Follow binning, labeling, batch traceability and FIFO/FEFO.
• Ensure accurate SAP receipts, issues, transfers and returns.
• Conduct physical stock verification and reconcile with book stock.
• Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, excess and obsolete inventory.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Production, Quality, Engineering, Finance and EHS.
• Prepare stores MIS and support audits; maintain 5S practices.

Key Responsibilities

Project Phase

• Support establishment of the project warehouse, storage areas and stores


• procedures.


• Receive and verify project materials against Purchase Orders and delivery

• Ensure accurate SAP transactions for receipts, issues, transfers and returns.


• Conduct physical stock verification and reconcile book stock with actualinventory.

• Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Production, Quality, Engineering,Finance and EHS.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure safe and authorized storage of chemicals, hazardous materials andengineering items.


• Follow EHS requirements, statutory regulations, SDS and material-compatibilitynorms.


• Maintain proper segregation, stacking, ventilation, spill control and fireprotection.


• Prevent unauthorized receipt, storage, movement or issuance of materials.

Key Performance Indicators

• Timely and accurate material receipt and SAP posting.


• Inventory accuracy and effective stock reconciliation.


• Material availability without project or production delays.


• Control of shortages, damages, excess and obsolete inventory.


• Safety, audit, statutory and 5S compliance.


• Effective contractor and project-material reconciliation.

Required Skills
