Job summary

PepsiCo in Tiruchirappalli seeks an experienced engineering stores professional to set up the Greenfield stores, detailing layout, racking, SAP/Ariba master data and an initial spares catalogue to support commissioning and startup.

Post-startup, you will run live plant stores operations ensuring availability of spares, chemicals and consumables per PepsiCo standards, with strict cost control and KC/GCS compliance.

Qualifications

• B.E or Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation/Electronics/Mechanical.
• 4–8 years of experience with 2–3 years in engineering stores/warehouse at supervisory level.
• Hands-on SAP and Ariba: material master, PR/PO, GRN, reservations, MSL/Min-Max/ROL.
• Exposure to manufacturing systems and KC/GCS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Set up the engineering store & C&C warehouse from scratch – layout, racking/bin locations, 5S and storage infrastructure ahead of commissioning.
• Create material master / spare-part codes in SAP & Ariba; build the initial spares catalogue with Engineering & OEMs.
• Establish MSL, Min-Max and re-order levels; onboard vendors; set up storage statutory compliances and KC/GCS from Day 1.
• Set up fuel & consumable storage with statutory compliance; receive & GRN project / commissioning materials.
• Ensure proper inventory and availability of spare parts, chemicals & consumables; maintain MSL and PR/PO in Ariba.
• Maintain SAP/Ariba master data, cost-centre booking; drive spares localization with Engineering & Procurement.
• Support EHS / audits, KC/GCS fulfilment, MIS reporting and yearly inventory classification.

Overview

As part of the Greenfield project, the role sets up the engineering stores and spares-management systems from scratch (store & C&C warehouse layout, racking, SAP/Ariba material master, initial spares catalogue, vendor onboarding, fuel storage, KC/GCS) and ensures store readiness for commissioning & start-up. Thereafter it runs engineering stores operations for the live plant – ensuring proper inventory and availability of spares, chemicals and consumables as per PepsiCo standards, at optimum cost and in full statutory & Key Control compliance.

This Greenfield will be first of its kind with huge complexities and scope – potato chips & Kurkure lines, ASRS with 6,500+ pallet positions, 20,000 MT long term modern cold storage within the facility, solar installation & Wind power PPA, IGBC Green building Gold certification and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD).

Responsibilities

The role is to set up the engineering stores for the Greenfield project and ensure store readiness for start-up, and thereafter run ongoing engineering stores operations for the live plant.

Phase 1 – Greenfield Store Set-up & Start-up Readiness

• Set up the engineering store & C&C warehouse from scratch – layout, racking/bin locations, 5S and storage infrastructure ahead of commissioning.
• Create material master / spare-part codes in SAP & Ariba; build the initial spares catalogue with Engineering & OEMs (commissioning, insurance and working spares).
• Establish MSL, Min-Max and re-order levels; onboard vendors (vendor code creation, TPDD); set up storage statutory compliances and Store KC/GCS from Day 1.
• Set up fuel & consumable storage (Biomass Briquettes, CNG, HSD/LPG) with statutory compliance; receive & GRN project / commissioning materials.

Phase 2 – Ongoing Stores Operations

• Ensure proper inventory and availability of spare parts, chemicals & consumables as per PepsiCo standards; maintain MSL and raise PR/PO in Ariba timely.
• Ensure timely stock-taking, reconciliation and audit of spare parts and C&C stock to ensure zero inventory mismatch; manage ~₹10-20 Cr spares inventory.
• Ensure proper stacking, accounting, documentation, GRN and KC compliance for received materials; issue C&C as per FEFO.
• Ensure availability of HSD/CNG & Briquettes with daily stock monitoring; drive the green-environment agenda through briquette stocking.
• Conduct TPDD, vendor code creation, vendor development / unblocking; drive value engineering with internal stakeholders and myBUY.
• Coordinate with Finance & IBM for scrap disposal, exception clearing and timely vendor payments; ensure R&M monitoring, correction and reclass.
• Maintain SAP/Ariba master data, RGP/NRGP, open-reservation tracking and correct cost-centre booking; drive spares-localization with Engineering & Procurement.
• Support EHS / GEHSMS, AIB & statutory audits, KC/GCS fulfilment, MIS reporting and yearly inventory classification (working / insurance / obsolete).

Lead AIB & other quality audits for the plant.

Qualifications

• Education: B.E / Diploma (Electrical / Instrumentation / Electronics / Mechanical).
• Functional experience: approx. 4-8 years, with 2-3 years in engineering stores / warehouse at supervisory level.
• Hands‑on with SAP & Ariba – material master, PR/PO, GRN, reservations, MSL/Min-Max/ROL.
• Desirable: engineering-store set-up for a new / greenfield site.
• Exposure to manufacturing systems, shop‑floor culture, EHS/GEHSMS and KC/GCS.
