Responsibilities

• Lead estimation team and develop quotations for domestic and international business.
• Evaluate manufacturing methodologies for efficient production output.
• Evaluate CNC Machining processes and suggest best practices.
• Review and approve estimations prior to quote release.
• Estimate machine, product, and manufacturing costs (materials, labour, feed rates).
• Analyze cycle times, machining processes (CNC, VMC, HMC) and production rates.
• Develop pricing models and ensure cost efficiency in custom-built machinery projects.
• Collaborate with engineering & procurement teams for accurate cost forecasting.
• Maintain cost databases and prepare detailed estimation reports.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Senior Estimator (Machining Manufacturing Operations) to handle cost estimation of drawings. The cost estimator will work with the purchase team and design team to understand requirements on the drawings and prepare estimations. The senior estimator must be able to evaluate cutter requirements, best speeds and feeds, optimum CNC cutting time, correct setups and processing to prepare cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility 1 - Senior Estimator will act as a team lead, mentor and leader to the estimation team and guide them in the development if quotations for domestic and international business.
• Responsibility 2 - To evaluate manufacturing methodologies and suggest best manufacturing practises for efficient production output.
• Responsibility 3 - To evaluate CNC Machining processes and suggest best practices.
• Responsibility 4 - To review and approve estimations prior to quote release.
• Responsibility 5 - Estimate machine, product, and manufacturing costs (materials, labour, feed rates, etc.).
