Job summary

Superior Hydrolique Pvt Ltd in Pune invites a Costing Specialist to drive detailed manufacturing cost estimations for new and existing products. You will analyze drawings, BOMs, material costs, tooling, labor and overheads to prepare accurate cost sheets and quotations within deadlines.

You will collaborate with Design, Purchase, PPC, Production and Sales to ensure reliable cost inputs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support pricing decisions with robust analytics and documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong costing and estimation capabilities for manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read drawings, BOMs and technical specifications for costing.
• Experience with CNC machining, fabrication and assembly cost drivers.
• Proficient in Excel and costing tools for data analysis and reporting.
• Analytical mindset with numerical proficiency and attention to details.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed costing for new and existing products/components.
• Calculate material, machining, fabrication, labour, tooling, process and overhead costs.
• Study engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications and customer requirements for costing.
• Prepare quotations and cost sheets within the required timelines.
• Coordinate with Design, Purchase, PPC, Production, Quality and Sales teams for accurate cost inputs.
• Obtain and verify raw material and bought-out component prices.
• Analyze machining processes, cycle time, machine-hour rates and labour costs.
• Calculate manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Compare estimated cost with actual production cost and analyse variances.
• Maintain and update costing databases, rate sheets and historical costing records.
• Support new product development by providing cost feasibility and cost estimates.
• Review changes in drawings, specifications, materials or processes and revise costing accordingly.
• Conduct competitor/market price analysis wherever required.
• Support management in pricing decisions and profitability analysis.
• Ensure all costing calculations are accurate and properly documented.
