Job summary

Talent Corner Hr Services in Bengaluru seeks a Cost Estimator with 2–4 years of experience to build and validate cost models for manufacturing orders. You will collect and analyze costs across materials, labour, equipment, and tooling, updating estimates as project scope changes.

You will collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project teams, applying strong analytical and mathematical skills to ensure accurate bids and reliable cost projections under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical/industrial/production/ any related branch).
• 2-4 years of relevant cost estimation experience.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Sheet metal background candidates need not apply.

Responsibilities

• Estimate costs for manufacturing orders based on in-depth analyses of technical requirements.
• Collect and analyze all manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, equipment, and tooling to ensure estimates are accurate.
• Identify and quantify potential cost uncertainties to ensure costing models capture the full range of potential costs.
• Update costs as necessary based on latest information and project scope changes.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and other project stakeholders.
• Determine the scope of the order and review preliminary data and deliverables such as proposal specifications and drawings.
• Attend pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
• Utilize subcontractor or vendor cost and proposal data to support estimates.
• Evaluate and incorporate historical data from past orders into unit and man-hour figures.
• Develop cost estimates for an entire order and assist with contract handoff to Project Managers/Operations.
