Job summary

You will coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure profitability, prepare detailed estimates, review and handover documentation, and participate in client discussions to clarify scope and justify estimates. Qualifications

• B.E. Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in estimation, preferably in engineering or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills are essential.
• Proficiency in ERP and estimation software is required.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities are important.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation.
• Coordinate with Sales & Project Teams to support proposals with technical estimations.
• Liaise with vendors to obtain quotes and ensure competitive pricing while meeting technical specs.
• Identify risks and propose cost-effective solutions to maintain profitability.
• Review and approve estimates prepared by junior estimators or other departments for accuracy.
• Interact with clients to clarify project scope and present estimation details.
• Prepare and maintain all estimation-related documentation for handover to execution and production teams.
• Assist the sales team in price negotiations with data-driven insights and technical justifications.
• Organize and lead estimation and review meetings with internal stakeholders.

To lead the estimation function by accurately forecasting project costs, supporting the sales process with technical and commercial insights, and coordinating with internal teams and vendors to ensure profitability and compliance with client requirements.

2. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation.
• Coordinate with Sales & Project Teams:
• Support the sales team with technical estimations and provide necessary documentation for proposals.
• Vendor Management for Quotations:
• Liaise with vendors to obtain quotes and ensure competitive pricing while meeting technical specifications.
• Identify potential risks and suggest cost-effective solutions to maintain profitability.
• Review and Approve Estimates:
• Validate estimates prepared by junior estimators or other departments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Client Interaction:
• Participate in technical discussions with clients to clarify project scope and present estimation details.
• Documentation & Handover:
• Prepare and maintain all estimation-related documentation for smooth handover to execution and production teams.
• Support Negotiation:
• Assist the sales team in price negotiations by providing data-driven insights and technical justifications.
• Organize and lead estimation and review meetings with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment.
