Job summary

Amor Management Consultants in Bangalore is seeking a Costing and Estimation Engineer with 8+ years of experience in high-precision machining to lead cost analysis and pricing strategies.

You will review RFQs, estimate costs for machining, materials and outsourcing, and optimize sequences with nesting concepts, using CAD tools and MS Excel for reporting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience estimating costs for high-precision machining.
• Ability to review RFQs and prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Experience with aerospace-grade materials such as aluminium, titanium, Inconel.
• Proficient in CAD tools: AutoCAD/CATIA/Siemens NX/SolidWorks; strong Excel costing.

Responsibilities

• Read product drawings and understand process requirements.
• Evaluate tolerances and fits to decide the process.
• Machining process expertise: CNC milling, turning, turn-mill.
• Experience in special processes like CCA, heat treatment, anodizing, painting.
• Identify cost-efficient machining sequences.
• Understand nesting concepts for material optimization and cost reduction.
• Experience with aerospace-grade materials (Aluminium, Titanium, Inconel).
• Review RFQs and prepare detailed cost estimates for machining, materials, and outsourcing.
• Understand full scope of work and prepare thorough cost analyses and pricing strategies.

Exp : 8+ years

Location : Bangalore

BE / Diploma in Mech / Aero / Auto with 8 to 10 yrs of experience in Estimation of costing in high precision machining.

• 1 - Hands on experience on reading the product drawings, understanding of the process requirements.
• 2 - Interpret to evaluate tolerances and fit/function and decide the process.
• 3. Machining Process Expertise: like CNC milling 3,4,5 axis. Turning, turnmill, general machining.
• 4 - Experience in special processes like CCA, Heat treatment, Anodizing, painting etc....
• 5 - Identifycost-effective and efficient machining sequences.
• 6 - Understand nesting concepts for material optimization and cost reduction.
• 7 - Experience in aerospace-grade materials (Aluminium, Titanium, Inconel, etc.).
• 8 - Software Experience like AutoCAD, CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, etc.
• 9 - Good working knowledge of MS Excel for estimation, costing, and reporting
• 10 - Review RFQs and prepare detailed cost estimates for machining, raw materials, special processes, and outsourcing.
