Job summary

THERMAX is seeking a Compliance & Labour Relations professional to liaison with government bodies for licenses, manage contract labour and ensure adherence to labour laws. The role includes audits, rate contracts, and maintaining efficient data MIS.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of the new labour codes, experience in employee relation and industrial relations, and excellent communication in the local language.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of new labour codes and its compliances.
• Understanding labour relations needs.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills in local language.
• Well versed with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word etc).
• Experience in statutory compliance and labour laws.
• Experience in contract labour management.
• Experience in Employee relation & Industrial relation.

Responsibilities

• Liaisoning with Government bodies to obtain licenses and ensure compliance under labour laws.
• Manage contract labour screening and deployment of skilled workforce.
• Handle internal & external audits.
• Execute rate contracts of labour suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws.
• Organise pre-employment/medical checks for workers.
• Data management including data analytics & MIS.
• Update Legatrix.
• Liaise with local authorities and community leaders to maintain good relations.
• Engage apprentices as per Apprenticeship Act.
• File challans and returns monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Set up grievance mechanisms and provide awareness on government schemes.

Role & responsibilities

• Liaisoning with Government bodies to get required license & compliance such as BOCW, factory license, Registration of Contract labour, EPF as per various labour laws
• Contract labour management -Screening of Manpower supplier, involvement in screening skilled workforce, Standard deployment of contract labour.
• Handling Internal & External audit.
• Executing Rate contracts of Labour suppliers.
• Ensure compliance related to applicable labour laws.
• Organizing pre-employment /medical Check-up for workers
• Data Management - data Analytics & MIS.
• Updating Legatrix.
• Liaisoning with Local Sarpanch, leader, Police & good repo with nearest industry etc.
• Engagement Apprentices as per Apprenticeship Act.
• Filing challans and returns monthly, quarterly & annually.
• Setting up Grievance mechanism, Providing awareness session to workers w.r.t government schemes and benefits, etc.

Preferred candidate profile

Sound knowledge of new labour codes and its compliances

Understanding labour relations needs.
