Metro Chem. Inc. in Hyderabad, India, is seeking a results-oriented procurement professional to handle engineering, MRO and CAPEX sourcing for plant expansions.

You will coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Utilities, Production and Stores to ensure material availability and timely deliveries across projects. The role involves supplier evaluations, negotiations on terms, and maintaining SAP procurement records while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Responsabilités

• Procure mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and utility equipment, engineering spares, consumables and maintenance materials.
• Source OEM spares, replacement parts, repair services and critical maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Utilities, Production and Stores for technical specifications and timely material availability.
• Manage procurement for plant expansions, new projects, equipment installations and facility upgrades.
• Procure process equipment, utility systems, HVAC, electrical panels, piping, fabrication, civil works and project-related services.
• Coordinate technical evaluations, commercial offers, vendor finalization and delivery schedules to meet project timelines and budgets.
• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers for engineering, MRO and CAPEX requirements.
• Develop alternate sources for critical spares and imported components.
• Maintain an approved vendor base and monitor supplier quality, delivery, pricing and service performance.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, freight, warranties and other commercial conditions.
• Analyse quotations, historical prices and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare comparative statements, price variance and savings reports, ensuring proper justification and approvals.
• Review indents, verify specifications, obtain clarifications and issue requests for quotations (RFQs).
• Evaluate quotations, process purchase orders and obtain necessary approvals.
• Follow up on order execution, inspection, dispatch and delivery; coordinate material receipt and supplier payment issues with concerned departments.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, approval matrices and applicable quality and safety requirements.
• Maintain procurement documentation and update purchase transactions in SAP or other ERP systems.
• Monitor pending indents, open purchase orders, cost savings, supplier performance, CAPEX progress and budget utilization through periodic MIS reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Engineering & MRO Procurement

2. CAPEX & Project Procurement

1. Manage procurement for plant expansions, new projects, equipment installations and facility upgrades.
2. Procure process equipment, utility systems, HVAC, electrical panels, piping, fabrication, civil works and project-related services.
3. Coordinate technical evaluations, commercial offers, vendor finalization and delivery schedules to meet project timelines and budgets.

3. Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Development

1. Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers for engineering, MRO and CAPEX requirements.
2. Develop alternate sources for critical spares and imported components.
3. Maintain an approved vendor base and monitor supplier quality, delivery, pricing and service performance.

4. Commercial Negotiation & Cost Optimization

1. Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, freight, warranties and other commercial conditions.
2. Analyse quotations, historical prices and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
3. Prepare comparative statements, price variance and savings reports, ensuring proper justification and approvals.

5. Purchase Order Execution & Delivery Coordination
