Job summary

Tractebel, part of ENGIE, is seeking a Senior Secondary Side Electrical Design Engineer to lead detailed engineering for oil & gas and energy projects. You will design protection, control, interlocking schemes and interface with DCS/PLC/SCADA while mentoring junior engineers.

On-site Gurgaon, India, with global teams and diverse, cross-functional collaboration. The role requires 10–15 years' EPCM experience, FEED/detail engineering, and strong knowledge of IEC/IEEE/API standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10–15 years of experience in engineering consulting or EPCM environments.
• Experience with FEED and Detail Engineering for Oil & Gas or Energy sector projects.
• Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE and API standards for electrical protection and control systems.
• Hands-on experience with relay coordination, control schematics and system interfaces.
• Hazardous area design and intrinsic safety familiarity.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review protection and control philosophies for Oil & Gas and Energy facilities.
• Design control and relay schematics, wiring diagrams, IO lists, and cable schedules to international standards.
• Define interfaces with DCS, PLC, SCADA and ESD systems.
• Review vendor documents, participate in technical bid evaluations, and manage design deviations.
• Support hazardous area classification and intrinsic safety design requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement within the electrical discipline.
