Job summary

Tractebel Gurgaon invites an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team, designing civil and structural systems for solar, wind, and battery storage projects. You will work on national and international assignments, applying IS 456, IS 800, IS 875, IS 801, IS 2911 and Eurocodes, using STAAD.Pro for modelling, and supporting on-site supervision.

The role requires 5–15 years in renewables, a Civil Engineering degree, and strong English reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 5–15 years of experience in renewable energy sector preferred.
• Solid knowledge of solar plant design including foundations and mounting structures.
• Experience with wind power projects is advantageous.
• Proficiency with STAAD.Pro and pile design software.
• Familiarity with Eurocode standards and international codes (US or others) is beneficial.
• Experience with Civil 3D for terrain modelling, drainage or road design is a plus.
• Strong written and spoken English skills for technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design civil and structural systems for solar and wind power plants, including mounting structures and transformer stations.
• Deliver pre-bid engineering, detailed engineering, and owner's engineering services.
• Review design documents for owner's and lender's engineering assignments.
• Lead the civil and structural scope on smaller projects independently.
• Apply IS 456, 800, 875, 801, 2911 and Eurocodes to produce code-compliant designs.
• Use STAAD.Pro or equivalent software to model and analyze structural systems.
• Support site supervision, construction monitoring, and inspections when needed.

Join our Gurgaon team to design civil and structural systems for renewable energy projects. You will work on solar, wind, and battery storage projects across India and internationally.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Designing civil and structural systems for solar and wind power plants, including module mounting structures, pile foundations, and transformer stations
• Delivering pre-bid engineering, detailed engineering, and owner's engineering services
• Reviewing design documents for owner's and lender's engineering assignments
• Leading the civil and structural scope on smaller projects independently
• Applying Indian Standards (IS 456, 800, 875, 801, 2911) and Eurocodes to produce code-compliant designs
• Using STAAD.pro or equivalent software to model and analyse structural systems
• Supporting site supervision, construction monitoring, and structural inspections when needed

You likely have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; a Master's in Structural or Geotechnical Engineering is an advantage
• Between 5 and 15 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, ideally in engineering consulting
• Solid knowledge of solar plant design, including foundation systems and mounting structures
• Experience with wind power projects is a strong advantage
• Proficiency in structural analysis tools such as STAAD.pro and pile design software
• Familiarity with Eurocode standards, as well as US or other international codes
• Experience with Civil 3D for terrain modelling, drainage, or road design is a plus
• Strong written and spoken English skills, with the ability to write clear technical reports
