Job summary

Tractebel in Gurgaon, India seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead detailed engineering for large power projects, especially CCPP, and to guide a team of engineers. You will be the key contact for electrical design across international and domestic projects, driving quality and timely deliverables.

You will coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, review calculations and drawings, and manage SPEL and CAD/CAE usage while engaging with stakeholders worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 15+ years of experience in power plant detail engineering, FEED, and proposal development.
• Experience in Engineering Consulting or EPC environments for large power projects.
• Strong knowledge of SPEL and CAD/CAE tools.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing and mentoring a team of electrical engineers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for engaging with international stakeholders.

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Energy team in Gurgaon. In this leadership role, you will drive detail engineering for large power projects, guide a team of talented engineers, and serve as the key contact for electrical design activities across international and domestic projects. Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering world-class energy infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Lead all electrical detail engineering activities for large power projects, with a focus on combined cycle power plants (CCPP).
• Serve as the single point of contact for interdisciplinary design coordination and customer interaction.
• Prepare, review, and approve electrical calculations, specifications, layout plans, lighting, and grounding systems.
• Oversee system design, equipment development, and engineering studies from concept through detailed engineering.
• Manage the use of Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL) and CAD/CAE tools within the electrical discipline.
• Review designs, drawings, and supplier data to ensure quality and compliance with project standards.
• Monitor project controls, material quantity estimates, and deliverables within the electrical discipline.
