Job summary

ACG World seeks an experienced Electrical/Automation Engineer to drive panel and machine integration for pharma packaging projects. You will ensure design-to-production alignment, develop SOPs, and mentor technicians to meet quality standards.

Ideal candidate: 10–12 years in A&C assembly, strong PLC/SCADA, SAP PP, Lean/Six Sigma knowledge, and hands-on collaboration across functions to deliver on time.

Qualifications

• BE Electrical with 10–12 years in A&C assembly.
• Experience with PLC programming, SCADA, and safety compliance.
• Knowledge of SAP Routing/Confirmation/BOM.
• Awareness of QMS, HSE.
• Lean engineering and value engineering knowledge.
• DOE/Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute Panel and machine integration using approved P&ID and EPlan Schematics.
• Ensure product and system requirements from conception to finished result.
• Improve efficiency by analysing workflow, space, and equipment layout.
• Lead continuous improvement, problem solving and process enhancements.
• Conduct FMEA, documentation, and implement improvements.
• Mentor technicians and trainee engineers; liaise across departments.
• Prepare reports and deliver presentations; manage parts and budgets.

Job Objective

Optimum utilisation of available resources to achieve planned activies of machine assembly by adherence of set processes.

Primary responsibilities

Role And Responsibilities

Core :

• Ensure all product and system requirements are taken into account from the initial product conception to the finished result.
• Eliminate the variability in the manufacturing by providing the SOPs, Work instructions & in process quality Checks.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout.
• Drive & implement the 6S. Support and lead continuous improvement, problem solving and process improvement activities.
• Carry out FMEAs, (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) process documentation and implement improvements.
• Investigate production and process issues and providing technical support and training wherever required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities
• Produce written reports and make presentations
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
• Lead and/or support technicians and trainee engineers
• Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers
• Be an effective team member, working with CFT to ensure smooth workflow with maximum output.
• Carries out the production process within the allotted resources and budget, with minimal wastage and optimal manpower utilization
• Liaises with other internal customers and suppliers as required in order to ensure an integrated and effective manufacturing area
• Ensures daily production reports updates with good quality and minimal failures.
• Manages disciplinary issues and other team related matters
• Comply with the Health, Safety & environmental Policies.
• Multiskilling of Technicians by training and providing guidance.
• Key Result Areas
• Execute Panel and M/c integration using approved P&ID and EPlan Schematics
• Well versed with SAP PP module
• Prepare handover checklists for ITR and QA for function tests
• Deliver assembled M/c in time according to project timeline in co-ordination with Assembly and PPC.
• Support execution in equipment funciton tests with wired control panel (I/O test/ITR/M/c Settings and device parameterizations)
• Change request for electrical drawing/BOM correction/Layout through change control process.
• Highlight shortages/OLR to PPC and manage parts availability.
• Lean management & Value Engineering.
• Having good knowledge in PLC programming, SCADA, Safety compliance (CE / UL / CSA ETC.)
• Electrical /Automation Controls-PLC (Troubleshooting)
• Production & manpower planning.
• Analysis skill for plan vs actual of production.
• Inventory analysis

Technical Competency

High technical knowledge about Electrical Assembly.

Knowledge of industrial engineering of value engineering & Lean Manufacturing.

Conversant with SAP- Routing / Confirmation / BOM etc.

Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Manufacturing Quality, Product Development, Presenting Technical Information,

Adequate knowledge of DOE/Six Sigma – preferably green belt.

Awareness of QMS, HSE
