Job summary

ACG is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design, develop and validate electrical schematics and control systems for pharmaceutical process machines in Pune. You will prepare wiring diagrams, panel layouts, BOMs and collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing and procurement teams.

Must have hands-on experience with EPLAN, electrical cabinet manufacturing, and servo drives sizing, with exposure to Teamcenter and SAP for BOMs.

Qualifications

• Expert in electro hardware planning with EPLAN.
• Hands-on experience in electrical cabinet manufacturing and wiring.
• Experience with process machines.
• Handover content for ITR/DQ/IQ/OQ validation documents.
• Basic software skills in Siemens, Mitsubishi and Zenon.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics and control systems for process machines.
• Prepare electrical drawings: circuit diagrams, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and terminal plans.
• Generate BOMs and bought-out parts in EPLAN, Teamcenter and SAP.
• Design and validate control panels, PLC panels, and MCC panels.
• Coordinate with mechanical, manufacturing, procurement, and assembly teams.
• Collaborate with PLC programmers for I/O mapping and system integration.
• Maintain documentation, version control and drawing revisions.
• Participate in design reviews and suggest improvements for reliability.
• Assist commissioning of prototypes and perform small software changes under guidance.
• Execute validation tests during commissioning (I/O Test Protocol; ITR Test Protocol; SDTP; MFI Test Protocol; ITR Parameter Setting Controls Test Protocol).

Job description

Job Objective:

• Design and develop electrical schematics and control systems for pharmaceutical process machines using EPLAN Electric P8.
• Prepare electrical drawings, including circuit diagrams, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and terminal plans.
• Generate Bought Out article numbers in EPLAN, Teamcenter and SAP
• Generate Bill of Materials (BOMs) for electrical components and panels in EPLAN, Teamcenter and SAP.
• Design and validate control panels, PLC panels, and MCC panels as per project requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with development specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with mechanical design, manufacturing, procurement, and assembly teams for project execution.
• Work closely with PLC programmers for I/O mapping and system integration.
• Perform design revisions and updates based on Alpha and Beta Test feedback.
• Maintain proper documentation, version control, and drawing revisions.
• Participate in design reviews and suggest improvements for system reliability and efficiency.
• Supporting software programmer during commissioning of new prototypes
• Capable to do small software changes on prototypes under guidance of software programmer
• Executing and supporting of validation tests during commissioning of new prototypes (I/O Test Protocol; ITR Test Protocol; SDTP; MFI Test Protocol; ITR Parameter Setting Controls Test Protocol)

Role & responsibilities

Strategic and planning:

• Able to size/select electronic components e.g servo drives, cabinet sizing, heat calculation etc
• Planning and coordinating with vendors related to Hardware integration
• Develop testing and validation protocol and execute to ensure performance and safety compliances.
• Adhering to timelines provided by organisation to deliver content

Functional

Core:

• Ensures to meet all milestones and deliverables (EPLAN, etc.) of development project to have successful prototype launch.
• Responsible for design, creation, setup and testing of Electro Hardware; in order to meet requirement of the machine
• Responsible for sizing of the machine key electric components e.g servo drives, motors, panel sizing etc
• Coordinates with electrical and shopfloor team for successfully manufacturing electro panel, wiring, implementing the program logic and functioning of overall machine.
• Coordinates with Quality team, for successfully validate the prototype regarding electro hardware, PLC/Scada program and any automation related topics.
• Supports the Documentation and QA teams in all matters related to prototype validation documentation.
