Job summary

Ssmatrix Consultancy seeks an electrical controls design engineer to translate customer requirements into detailed electrical schematics and panel layouts. The role focuses on LV switchgear design, EPLAN-based wiring, and BOM management across automotive, electrical, and pharma industries.

You will work with SAP BOMs, SAP MM/PP, and driving engineering documentation. Experience with EPLAN P8, AutoCAD, and vision/robotic systems is preferred, with strong teamwork and communication to ensure

Qualifications

• Understanding customer requirements and concept generation.
• Designing electrical control panels for automotive, electrical, and pharma industries using EPLAN P8.
• Converting product specifications into electrical schematics.
• Designing LV switchgear panels with EPLAN P8.
• Panel layout in AutoCAD and wiring in EPLAN.
• Preparing SLDs, Schematics, GA, BOM and reports.
• Generating cable diagrams, BOMs, and connectors reports in Wiring Document using EPLAN.
• Macro creation and auto BOM/Device Tag in EPLAN
• BOM management in SAP.
• Ability to select PLC/HMI/Servo/Load Cell/LVDT/vision systems.
• Hands-on with EPLAN software and AutoCAD for panel drawing.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and generate concepts.
• Design electrical control panels for automotive, electrical & pharma industries using EPLAN P8.
• Create electrical schematics from product specs and prepare drawings.
• Layout LV switchgear panels and wiring in EPLAN P8; AutoCAD panel drawings.
• Prepare BOM, GA, SLD, and related reports.
• Create macros and auto-generation of BOMs and tags in EPLAN.
• Manage BOM in SAP (MM/PP) and PLM.
• Support safety standards knowledge (CE/UL) and robot/vision systems selection.

Role & responsibilities

Understanding the customer requirement and concept generation

Designing electrical control Panel for various customer specialized automobile, electrical &

pharma industry using EPLAN P8 2.8 tool.

Understanding product specifications and convert them into electrical schematic.

Designing LV Switchgear panels using EPLAN P8 2.7

Panel Layout in AutoCAD and Wiring in Eplan p8.

Proficient in preparing SLD, Schematics, GA, BOM and reports.

Cable Diagram, Bill of materials, and Connectors Reports Generation in Wiring Document by

using E-Plan.

Macro creation, Auto Generation of Auto Ferruling, Auto Device Tag, Auto BOM in E-plan

BOM management in SAP

• Ability to select PLC / HMI / Servo / Load Cell / LVDT / Vison Systems etc.
• Prepare / Hands-on exp with E-Plan Software using SLD & Detail schematic preparation
• Handon experience with Auto CAD Panel drawing preparation
• Ability to create various automation product using Network Architectures/ MES / Tracability like Siemens, Omoron , AB etc
• Should create BOM using SAP (MM / PP) / PLM
• Able to derive Calculations Power / Servo etc.
• Knowledge on Safety standards – CE / UL Marking
• Knowledge on Robots / Cobots / Vison
• Ability to select right sensors for applications
• Prepare and share RCA report and Lesson learnt documents with respect Failure and repeated issues.

• Knowledge about EPLAN, SAP and AUTOCAD
• Knowledge about EPLAN PROPANEL
• Knowledge about Pneumatic, Hydraulic, PLC, Servo, Vision, Robot, SCADA and other control systems
