Job summary

ACG is seeking a technically strong Electrical/Automation Engineer to drive panel and machine integration from concept to delivery. You will ensure all product and system requirements are considered, create SOPs and work instructions, and lead continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Role requires hands-on PLC/SCADA knowledge, familiarity with SAP PP, and ability to coordinate with assembly and PPC teams. Prepare handover checklists for ITR/QA and manage wiring, tests and layout changes.

Qualifications

  • High technical knowledge about Electrical Assembly.
  • Knowledge of industrial engineering, value engineering and lean manufacturing.
  • Conversant with SAP Routing / Confirmation / BOM.
  • Knowledge of DOE/Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred).
  • Awareness of QMS and HSE standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all product and system requirements are considered from conception to finished result.
  • Eliminate variability by providing SOPs, work instructions and in-process quality checks.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing workflow, space and equipment layout.
  • Drive 6S, support continuous improvement and problem solving.
  • Carry out FMEA, process documentation and implement improvements.
  • Lead or support technicians and trainee engineers.
  • Liaise with departments, customers, suppliers and service providers.
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team to maximise output.
  • Produce daily production reports with quality and low failures.
  • Execute panel and machine integration using approved P&ID and EPlan.
  • Prepare handover checklists for ITR and QA for functional tests.
  • Deliver assembled machines on time in coordination with Assembly and PPC.
  • Support equipment function tests with wired control panels (I/O test/ITR/MC settings).
  • Raise change requests for electrical drawings/BOM/layout through change control.

Job description

  1. Job Objective

Optimum utilisation of available resources to achieve planned activies of machine assembly by adherence of set processes.

Role and Responsibilities:

Core :
  • Ensure all product and system requirements are taken into account from the initial product conception to the finished result.
  • Eliminate the variability in the manufacturing by providing the SOPs, Work instructions & in process quality Checks.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout.
  • Drive & implement the 6S.Support and lead continuous improvement, problem solving and process improvement activities.
  • Carry out FMEAs, (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) process documentation and implement improvements.
  • Lead and/or support technicians and trainee engineers
  • Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers
  • Be an effective team member, working with CFT to ensure smooth workflow with maximum output.
  • Carries out the production process within the allotted resources and budget, with minimal wastage and optimal manpower utilization
  • Liaises with other internal customers and suppliers as required in order to ensure an integrated and effective manufacturing area
  • Ensures daily production reports updates with good quality and minimal failures.

Key Result Areas
  • Execute Panel and M/c integration using approved P&ID and EPlan Schematics
  • Well versed with SAP PP module
  • Prepare handover checklists for ITR and QA for function tests
  • Deliver assembled M/c in time according to project timeline in co-ordination with Assembly and PPC.
  • Support execution in equipment funciton tests with wired control panel (I/O test/ITR/M/c Settings and device parameterizations)
  • Change request for electrical drawing/BOM correction/Layout through change control process.
  • Highlight shortages/OLR to PPC and manage parts availability.
  • Lean management & Value Engineering.
  • Having good knowledge in PLC programming, SCADA, Safety compliance (CE / UL / CSA ETC.)
  • Electrical /Automation Controls-PLC (Troubleshooting)
  • Production & manpower planning.
  • Analysis skill for plan vs actual of production.
  • Inventory analysis

Preferred candidate profile

High technical knowledge about Electrical Assembly.

Knowledge of industrial engineering of value engineering & Lean Manufacturing.

Conversant with SAP- Routing / Confirmation / BOM etc.

Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Manufacturing Quality, Product Development, Presenting Technical Information,

Adequate knowledge of DOE/Six Sigma preferably green belt.

Awareness of QMS, HSE
