Job summary

Kalinga Commercial Corporation Limited is seeking an experienced plant mechanical maintenance engineer to oversee preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance across critical mining equipment. You will lead a team, coordinate with Operations, Electrical, Automation/PLC and Civil groups, and ensure safe, reliable plant operation.

The role requires a Diploma/BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering with 4–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in mining or bulk material handling.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4-8 years of relevant experience in plant mechanical maintenance/engineering.
• Experience in mining, mineral processing, crushing & screening or bulk material handling plants preferred.
• Hands-on experience with heavy mechanical equipment and plant maintenance.
• Experience in erection & commissioning will be an added advantage.
• Strong leadership, troubleshooting and team-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of plant mechanical equipment.
• Handle critical equipment such as crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, stackers/reclaimers, hoppers, chutes, gearboxes, drives, pulleys and idlers.
• Monitor equipment performance, breakdowns and downtime and implement RCA and corrective actions.
• Plan and execute shutdown maintenance, overhauling and major repairs.
• Ensure proper alignment, lubrication, coupling and installation of mechanical equipment.
• Coordinate with Operations, Electrical, Automation/PLC and Civil teams for smooth plant operations.
• Coordinate with OEMs, contractors and vendors for maintenance, installation and commissioning activities.
• Support plant erection, modification, expansion and commissioning projects.
• Ensure availability of critical spares, tools and consumables.
• Maintain equipment history, maintenance records and breakdown reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety, LOTO, work permit, PPE and quality requirements.
• Lead and develop the mechanical maintenance team and ensure effective manpower utilization.
• Knowledge of fabrication & erection of structure.
