Job summary

Macawber Beekay is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment at our plant. The role requires hands-on maintenance of pumps, motors, conveyors, gearboxes, crushers, feeders and valves, with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring reliability.

You will conduct routine inspections, perform alignment, lubrication and vibration monitoring, and coordinate shutdowns.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on knowledge of mechanical equipment maintenance.
• Experience with breakdown and preventive maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and team coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Maintain pumps, motors, conveyors, gearboxes, crushers, feeders, valves and other plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and minimize downtime.
• Conduct routine inspection and monitor equipment health.
• Carry out alignment, lubrication, vibration and condition monitoring activities.
• Plan and execute shutdown/annual maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with operators, technicians and contractors for maintenance jobs.
• Maintain maintenance records, checklists and daily reports.
• Ensure availability and reliability of plant equipment.
• Follow PTW, LOTO and plant safety procedures during maintenance.
• Identify recurring failures and support RCA and corrective actions.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma / B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 35 years of relevant experience in O&M / Thermal Power Plant / Industrial Maintenance.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical equipment maintenance.
• Experience in breakdown and preventive maintenance.
• Good troubleshooting and team coordination skills.
• Willingness to work at plant/site location and in shifts, if required.
