Job summary

Oilmax Energy is seeking a qualified Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for its Coal Handling Plant (CHP) operations. You will plan, execute and monitor day-to-day maintenance to ensure reliability and maximum availability of material-handling equipment.

Responsibilities include preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance; inspection and lubrication of rotating equipment; root-cause analysis of major breakdowns; and coordinating planned shutdowns per schedule.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.
• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 510 years of relevant experience in mechanical operation and maintenance.
• Experience in Coal Handling Plants, mining, power plants, cement, steel, bulk material handling or other heavy industrial environments preferred.
• Candidates with strong experience in conveyor systems and heavy material-handling equipment will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and monitor day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities across the CHP.
• Ensure reliable operation and maximum availability of critical material-handling equipment.
• Carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of CHP mechanical equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot belt conveyors, crushers, vibrating screens, feeders, magnetic separators, dust suppression systems, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, lubrication systems and associated equipment
• Monitor the condition of bearings, gearboxes, couplings, shafts, rollers, pulleys, belts and other rotating components.
• Identify abnormal vibration, temperature, noise, leakage and other signs of equipment deterioration and initiate corrective action.
• Ensure proper inspection, alignment, lubrication and condition monitoring of rotating equipment.
• Plan and execute planned shutdown and major maintenance activities within the stipulated schedule.
• Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) of repetitive and major mechanical breakdowns and implement corrective/preventive actions.
