Job summary

Atom Lifts India Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced Elevator Installation Engineer to join our Projects & Installation team in Chennai and other site locations. The role covers complete installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of elevators, ensuring safety, quality, and timely project delivery.

You will read mechanical/electrical drawings, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain high installation standards while following company procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience executing complete elevator installation projects (rails, brackets, machine installation, car frame, cabin, doors, wiring).
• Strong knowledge of elevator controllers, wiring, and safety systems.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical/layout drawings.
• Leadership and coordination abilities on-site.
• Good communication in Tamil; basic English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete elevator installation projects at site, including all components and accessories.
• Install various elevator types (Passenger, Home, Hospital, Goods, Hydraulic, MRL, Machine Room).
• Ensure installations comply with drawings, SOPs, and safety regulations.
• Maintain high installation quality and minimal rework; report risks and issues promptly.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of elevators while ensuring compliance with company quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines. Requirements

• Execute complete elevator installation projects, including guide rails, brackets, machine installation, car frame, cabin, counterweight, doors, COP, LOP, wiring, and accessories.
• Install Passenger Lifts, Home Lifts, Hospital Lifts, Goods Lifts, Hydraulic Lifts, MRL, and Machine Room elevators.
• Ensure all installations comply with company standards and approved drawings.
• Follow all company safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Maintain high installation quality and minimize rework.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and company SOPs.
• Report site risks and technical issues immediately.
• Strong knowledge of elevator installation and commissioning.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and layout drawings.
• Knowledge of elevator controllers, wiring, and safety systems.
• Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Leadership and team coordination abilities.
• Ability to work independently at project sites.
• Good communication skills in Tamil; basic English knowledge is preferred.
